EDITOR’S NOTE

Hey Berliners,

Summer is finally here. The moment we have been longing for.

It is a strange sensation. Half the year you wait for the warmth to come, you put your head down, you focus, you push through. And then suddenly it arrives, and you know how quickly it will be gone.

For me, it requires a switch of gear. To put my head up, say yes more often, step out of my normal routines, try something new, and actually enjoy this moment I have been waiting for.

If this resonates, this is the moment to slowdown. To loosen your grip on the schedule. To actually be in the season you have been waiting for.

Happy slowdown,
Tim

SLOWDOWN @HOME

Tomorrow morning, before you reach for your phone, go outside.
Bare feet on the balcony, or the kitchen window thrown open, or a bench in the courtyard. Wherever the sunlight can find you.

Stand for three minutes.
Eyes soft. Let the warmth settle on your face. Feel the air move across your skin. Listen for the first bird, then the second. Breathe in whatever the morning is carrying.

The summer is here. You only have to show up to it.
